Profile

SINCE ITS FOUNDING IN THE EARLY 1990s, Peter Cadoux Architects, P.C. has established itself as one of the most prestigious architectural firms in New England. At the heart of the practice is Peter Cadoux, a highly skilled graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design, who has had a passion for design and building throughout his life. Fortunate and appreciative of each and every project, he heads a bespoke office offering clients a creative and practical, but ultimately, very personal design service.
While each project generates a fresh approach tailored specifically for the individual client, his homes are driven through a signature aesthetic composed of the many styles illustrated in his portfolio. They merge design integrity with present-day practicality while keeping an eye toward the future. Cadoux avoids stylistic trends; each house is a creative and thoughtful response to the site and his client’s dreams and goals. They provide a fresh interpretation of his client’s aspirations. He has an innate intuition that deciphers each individual or family’s style, program, and budget, translating it into a home that compliments their personal lifestyles.
Cadoux and his team of architects and designers are driven by a steadfast commitment to detail and unwavering standards of quality. Tapping into a deep love of architecture, they create homes and unique projects that are beautifully designed, inspired, and comfortable. He strongly believes that architecture is capable of enriching our daily lives and it is this passion that drives his work.
It follows that no two homes should be alike. The firm’s portfolio displays distinctive homes in a wide variety of styles and scales.
Cadoux also recognizes that changing lifestyles and newer technologies have transformed how we live and interact in today’s homes. While the overall size of each home reflects the needs and desires of each client, he emphasizes that through design and thoughtful planning, one can maximize usable space and minimize rarely used space with a seamless integration between the indoor and outdoor environment.
As a full service boutique firm, Peter Cadoux seeks clients with discerning tastes, and they can expect and receive his personal stewardship throughout the entire process. Most importantly, he and his firm inherently understand that listening is an architect’s greatest strength.

His work has been featured both nationally and internationally. Peter is a member of the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards, the National Chapter of the American Institute of Architecture, and the National Trust for Historic Preservation. He is licensed in his home state of CT, as well as NY, MA and RI.
